The Legend of Cybertopia

An immersive gaming experience

At Dell Technologies World, Dell faced the challenge of engaging a global audience with its cybersecurity solutions. The objective was to create an interactive experience that would build attendees' cybersecurity knowledge while showcasing Dell's capabilities in the space. In response, we developed The Legend of Cybertopia, an immersive Unity-based game that transformed cybersecurity education into an entertaining adventure. This innovative approach was created in just eight weeks and addressed several key goals: demonstrating Dell’s Advance Cybersecurity and Zero Trust Maturity narrative, helping customers identify gaps in their cybersecurity understanding, and encouraging further exploration of Dell's cybersecurity booth.

The game featured five chapters for players to choose from, each focusing on a different cybersecurity challenge. Players became guardians of a virtual realm, tasked with defending it against cyber attacks.

LEVEL 1: Defend the Kingdom from cyber attacks by reducing attack surfaces.

LEVEL 2: Guard the Realm by identifying & responding to ongoing threats.

LEVEL 3: Navigate the Path of Redemption to secure the kingdom’s data. 

LEVEL 4: Take the Trials of Trust to ensure the future security of the realm.

LEVEL 5: Unlock the promise of innovation in the AI Oasis.

This gamification strategy effectively communicated complex security concepts in an accessible, engaging format. Displayed on 70-inch monitors at Dell Technologies World, The Legend of Cybertopia captivated attendees. The game's storyline wove cybersecurity challenges throughout a fantasy kingdom, seamlessly blending entertainment with education.

By entering the realm of Cybertopia, attendees gained hands-on experience with cybersecurity concepts, explored Dell's innovative solutions in a memorable context, and identified potential gaps in their own organization's security posture. Through this immersive game experience, Dell was able to transform complex cybersecurity topics into an accessible and enjoyable learning journey for attendees, highlighting their capabilities and industry leadership.
