Porch Season

CATAPULTING THE NATIONAL PORCH BEER OF TEXAS INTO THE FASTEST GROWING BEER IN ITS CATEGORY

With people heading outside for fun, we suggested Lone Star Beer get their attention by throwing a party where so many Texas get-togethers start—on the porch. We positioned the “National Beer of Texas” as the reason for the season and recruited hyperlocal influencers to serve up everything our audience would need to throw the ultimate party on their own porch.

With engagement rates as our primary metric, we asked a diverse group of real-life Texans—a Houston chef, a San Antonio mixologist, and a San Antonio/Austin-based DJ duo—to create compelling content, and they delivered. We put the party together and captured everyone in their element. This fostered connections, heightened brand recognition, and boosted beer sales. Our 360-degree approach included a series of video ads spanning connected TV and digital, including social media, and rich media.

This strategy of local voices crafting engaging content paid off immensely. Lone Star Beer became the fastest growing brand in its category and the third fastest in domestic beer. Brand awareness and engagement rates soared, giving Lone Star Beer a Texas-sized bang for the buck.

“Hunt, Gather has consistently gone over the top for our brand. We couldn’t be more pleased with their work, which always comes out badass. I typically create an idea of what the content will look like in my head going into the first drafts, but am always surprised how much better it is than I could imagine. Their team is super collaborative to work with and challenges our team in the right way to encourage fresh thinking.”
