Hunt, Gather, Win: Our collective is proud to announce three 2017 Addy wins. Thank you to our incredible team and clients!

AN UNAGENCY COLLECTIVE

OUR REEL

+
We’re a group of creative independents that came together to build a workplace we felt served us and our clients best. After years in agencies, we wanted to try a new way of doing things. Seems our clients did, too.

WHAT WE DO

WE DON'T JUST HUNT AND GATHER. WE CREATE.

VIRTUAL REALITY | 360°

It changes every day. And trying to describe it is like trying to describe what it’s like to go to the moon. VR is new and exciting and amazing. And we’ve had the privilege of getting to the party early.

DIGITAL CREATIVE | VIDEO

This is where all of us come from. We’ve collectively spent a good deal of our lives concepting, writing, designing and creating digital experiences that do more than just excite us, they move the needle.

DEVELOPMENT

In our years spent in agencies, we saw an enormous disconnect between creative and development. We say no more. We build together from day one and we’re all stronger for it. So is the work.

OUR TEAM

MEET THE TRIBE.
Kathy Horn

Kathy Horn

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

I started in traditional, at the most traditional of agencies. And while I still appreciate a good print ad, I love creating for the digital space. I’ve been a writer or creative director for clients big and small, B2C and B2B. The best part of this job is getting to jump into a lot of different worlds. I know enough to be dangerous on a few topics at this point. Please don’t get me started on the Cloud.

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

I got my career start in politics where our motto for winning the news cycle was: speed kills. Now, a couple of decades later there are so many tools in the marketing toolbox. And I really love helping clients figure out the best ones for them and putting together a cohesive marketing or communications plan to hit goals. Marketing a product everyone wants is fun, but I like a challenge.

DESIGN DIRECTOR

More than an art director, I'm a designer and problem solver, focused on driving the customer experience. I came to digital design by way of traditional print and promotions, and have taken that same passion for print to the digital world. I’m obsessed with making things better than how I found them. And while I still tackle projects of all sizes, I also lead a team of designers to bring ideas to life.

VR CREATIVE DIRECTOR, AUSTIN

I could spend hours talking about VR, film or improv comedy. Just ask my wife. I’ve worked as a commercial director and advertising ECD. I also recently co-wrote and co-directed my first feature film. Then 360 video and VR hit. I jumped in early, directing for Fake Love (NY Times, Infiniti), SubVRsive (Downy), XI Media (Dodge, Maxim), Dell, and the 3M Half Marathon.

James Brunk

James Brunk

VR CREATIVE DIRECTOR, SEATTLE

I’m an award-winning Creative Director with more than 15 years of strategic interactive experience. My goal is always to put my creative vision, as well as storytelling and User Experience knowledge, into creating revolutionary work for clients. And I’ve managed to do just that, leading creative efforts for household names such as HTC, Valve, Coca-Cola, Audi, Nike, Chevrolet, Disney, and HBO.

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

I thrive on partnering with colleagues of all disciplines–from Developers and Creatives to Analytics, and also with clients of varying digital experience. My success has been driven by my obsession with ideas surrounding technology and knowing how to bring static, non-digital creative to life through code.

Brad Parrett

VIDEO CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Some of my best work was shot on a VHS camcorder, edited on two VCRs and only ever seen by the two or three friends who also acted in the films. Since those days, the technology has gotten marginally better, and some could argue the quality as well, but very little of what I shoot these days is as unrestrained, imaginative or as useful for blackmail. Getting back to there is definitely the goal, but in the meantime, let's make something.

CINEMATOGRAPHER

After attending the Colorado Film School, I moved to Austin to pursue a career in media production. I now work as a Cinematographer and Director and focus heavily mixing technology and art in the form of visual storytelling. I specialize in feature films, commercials, documentaries, short films and music videos. In fact, I’ve shot several award-winning films and music videos (humblebrag).

EDITOR

Back when Internet streaming seemed like something out of a William Gibson novel, I spent a good amount of time at Blockbuster. So much time that the clerks in blue told me to get a life. I eventually found myself behind the camera, making my own films. I’ve been editing film, television and web video for over a decade now. My name is Tim and I’m addicted film and television.

SOUND DESIGN

I developed my love for audio during my teen years listening to various music genres and went on to earn dual degrees in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. I moved to Austin in 2012 and began working on projects including feature film, short film, commercial, reality/doc series, and many other productions.

Sam Malcolm

PRODUCER, AUSTIN

I made my bones working on projects for clients such as Verizon Wireless, Dell, Infiniti, MTV and the NY Times. In 2015, I co-produced the feature film Noogie’s Time to Shine. I’m also a fixture of Austin’s booming comedy scene, performing improv with Bad Boys (4x B. Iden Payne Award Nominees), sketch with Stag Comedy (SXSW, Huffington Post), and producing the Austin Sketch Fest.

PRODUCER, LOS ANGELES

I started my own video production company that specializes in creative branded content and all things music. We've produced projects for Capital One, Jet Blue, ACL Fest, Boston Calling Music Festival, MTV, Paramount Pictures, and many others. In 2015, I put my first VR headset on and immediately tripped over a loveseat. I've since teamed up with Hunt Gather to produce 360/VR content for Shakey Graves, NY Times, Infiniti, Bebe and many other.
