The corporate McDonald's Twitter account was "hacked" early one morning in March, with a now infamous tweet about our President and his tiny hands. By noon the same day, we had put up a website, Supersize the Resistance, and created t-shirts and totes to play off of the news. Later that afternoon, we were distributing shirts and totes at SXSW in exchange for some tweets. Our efforts were picked up by Adweek online, who featured our agency and our resistance project, getting us some great attention and boosting merch sales online. All proceeds were donated to Meals on Wheels, which had received news of impending budget cuts from the federal government on the same day.
